This Page is Under Construction! Bare With Us As We Figure This Part Out...

OK…so we had a few blog posts on our old site, but frankly, they just weren’t that interesting. As we’ve recently revamped this whole thing, we’re looking to make sure that everything on here is useful to our guests, both those that will be staying with us in Alaska and those who won’t get any closer to Alaska than just visiting this site. 

What you can expect here...

Our intent for this blog page (and hopefully at some point video log as well) is to provide the most interesting content that we can. We intend to use this space to expand on things like frequently asked questions, address issues that have come up with us or that our guests have shared with us that they’ve had elsewhere while traveling through Alaska, and post some of the things that we’ve learned and or struggle with. We’ll post updates on projects and events that we’re working on or hosting or that deserve more attention than just some social media rambling. 

Didn't you say you guys have a newsletter?

We sure did. Frankly, we are just getting that off the ground too. One of our first blog articles will be about what we’ve been doing since we got here a few years ago, lessons learned, and goals for ourselves and Gakona Lodge. That may actually be a series of posts as there is a lot to it. All the same, the newsletter that we’re putting together will primarily focus on general advice for travelers coming to Alaska, major updates around Gakona, and specials and deals that we may be offering.
